Upcoming Movies from the Creators of Smile 2

The studios behind Smile 2, Paramount Pictures and Temple Hill Entertainment, have new releases set to come out this year. These films range from action thriller to horror offering a variety of options for movie enjoyers.

Paramount Studios has been a major player in the film industry for over 100 years, working on a vast array of projects ranging from TV shows to movies. They also launched the streaming platform Paramount Plus, which offers a variety of shows and movies for viewers to enjoy. The studio has produced many famous films featuring major actors. Some of their notable movies include Star Trek, Friday the 13th, Indiana Jones, Forrest Gump, Titanic, and many more. Prominent actors who have starred in their films include John Travolta, Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, Angelina Jolie, Meryl Streep, Tom Cruise, and many others.

Grossing approximately $138 million worldwide, Smile 2 is one of the biggest horror film releases of fall 2024. This psychological thriller keeps viewer on the edge of their seat, constantly questioning what is real. It also received an impressive 86% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie follows a pop star who, after witnessing the death of a friend, begins experiencing strange occurrences that slowly chip away at her sanity. As she confronts her past trauma, she starts to question everything around her.

"Novocaine," released on March 14, 2025, is one of Paramount Pictures' newest films. This action thriller follows the main character, Nathan Caine (played by Jack Quaid), as he attempts to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend, using his unique "superpower"—the inability to feel pain. This movie has earned a respectable 82% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7/10 rating on IMDbThe movie also grossed over $8.5 million during its opening weekend.

Another movie from Paramount Pictures is "Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning," starring Tom Cruise. This is the eighth installment in the Mission: Impossible series and the sequel to "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One." This two-hour action thriller is set to be released on May 23, 2025.

Temple Hill was founded in 2006 and has produced numerous TV shows and movies. Their work has been featured on various platforms, including Paramount Plus, Max, Hulu, FX, ABC, and Fox. Some of their most well-known films include The Twilight Saga, The Maze Runner series, The Fault in Our Stars, and On the Come Up.

For those looking for a movie in the horror genre, Clown in a Cornfield might be the perfect choice. Set to release on May 9, 2025, it has earned an outstanding 8.3/10 rating on IMDb and a 90% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie is based on the book series Clown in a Cornfield by Adam Cesare. It follows a clown named Frendo who stalks and hunts a group of teenagers in a cornfield.

For those eager for more from the Smile franchise, MovieWeb and ScreenGeek report that the series is expected to continue with Smile 3. Production is expected to begin in 2025, with a projected release date in late 2026.
