The Next Big Horror Slasher Movie Clown In A Cornfield

Clown in a Cornfield, a new slasher film, is set to premiere in theaters on May 9, 2025. This movie has all the elements horror fans crave, including plenty of gore and tense scenes that keep viewers on the edge of their seats. The production company behind the film also worked on the popular movie Smile 2.

The movie Clown in a Cornfield is based on the book series and follows the main character, Quinn Maybrook, who recently moved to Kettle Springs in search of a fresh start after the death of her mother. Quinn is just hoping to get through high school and graduate without any trouble, but there's a sinister presence lurking within the town. During the Founders Day party, Quinn and her new friends encounter the town’s terrifying mascot, a clown named Frendo, who goes on a killing spree as the teens fight to survive.

Clown in a Cornfield has received an 8.2/10 on IMDb and 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making it one of the most highly anticipated horror films of the year. If the movie makes a big impact upon its release, then it may follow the book series and become a trilogy. Clown in a Cornfield appears to take a modern approach to slasher films, with movie reviewer Brian Tallerico describing it as "sort of It meets Scream."

Temple Hill, the studio producing Clown in a Cornfield, has also worked on major horror hits such as Smile and Smile 2. The studio has also worked on The Twilight Saga, The Maze Runner films, and many other notable projects. The success of Smile 2 is just one example of the quality films this studio produces, building excitement among fans for this new slasher film.
